Yesterday, Ellie Bennett and Gina Zhang represented Mavim at the CFO Insights event at Microsoft’s office in Amsterdam. It felt refreshingly practical.
One theme came up again and again: process.
We lost count of how many times speakers emphasized it. AI agents don’t operate in isolation. They learn from processes. They execute within processes. One statement from Khurram Zaki captured it perfectly:
Every employee will have a Copilot. Every business process will have an agent.
That stayed with us. Because agents can learn and adapt — but only if the underlying processes are clear. Otherwise, you’re just accelerating noise.
It is essential that we are also reengineering & defining the processes that make AI work, and this needs to remain at the center of the conversation.
What we’re seeing first hand at Mavim
This isn’t theoretical for us.
At Mavim, we’re already integrating Microsoft Copilot and AI agents into how we work — from content creation to workflows. At the same time, we’re building AI directly into the Mavim platform itself.
Mavim ConversAI is designed to help organizations interact with their process knowledge in a completely new way: using AI to generate, refine, and understand process content faster and more intelligently.
For example, teams can:
- Ask questions about their processes and get instant, contextual answers
- Generate and improve process documentation faster
- Accelerate process modelling and transformation
- Extract insights directly from their operational knowledge
This turns process documentation from static files into something dynamic — something AI can actually use.
Our biggest learning from the event: AI makes process visibility mission-critical
What Microsoft demonstrated is clear: ERP systems like Dynamics 365 are evolving fast. Copilot supports people. Agents support processes.
But neither can operate effectively without a clear understanding of how the business runs.
This is exactly why process-led transformation matters.
Before AI can automate, optimize, or assist — it needs to understand your processes.
Business Process Management is a practice recognized broadly in the industry, and adopted by Microsoft's Business Process Catalog to align these practices to Microsoft's standards in Mavim.
This is where Mavim plays a unique role. By making processes visible, structured, and connected, organizations create the foundation that allows Copilot and AI agents to deliver real value.
The future: People + Copilot + Agents — powered by process
The CFO Insights event reinforced something we strongly believe:
AI will not replace process.
AI will depend on process.
Organizations that invest in process clarity today will be the ones that successfully scale AI tomorrow.
And what we’re seeing now, both at Microsoft and inside Mavim is that future is already taking shape.
